I am a rural based artist who works primarily in traditional realism. Self-taught, my journey spans two decades.

I prefer a close encounter with my chosen subject to establish a sense of immediacy. My aim is for the viewer to feel as if they were right there in the painting.

I use many layers to build tone in the colours, line and texture, all becoming integral to the composition. I find it very satisfying when shape and light come into play with my subject.

I am passionate about my art, and though I have taken classes from many prominent tutors, my aim is to always remain true to my own style.

My award-winning work has toured Queensland Galleries and has been published in book form several times. My work is held in private collections in Australia and overseas.
